Downfall (2004)

91% on Rotten Tomatoes: Traudl Junge, the final secretary for Adolf Hitler, tells of the Nazi dictator’s final days in his Berlin bunker at the end of WWII. Personal Rating: 9/10. Not to be missed! Watch it now!

Lost in Translation (2003)

95% on Rotten Tomatoes: A faded movie star and a neglected young wife form an unlikely bond after crossing paths in Tokyo. Personal Rating: 8.5/10. One of Bill Murray’s top 10 movies in my opinion.

The Machinist (2004)

76% on Rotten Tomatoes: An industrial worker who hasn’t slept in a year begins to doubt his own sanity. Personal Rating: 7.5/10. If you liked Memento, make sure to check this out as well.

The Prince of Egypt (1998)

79% on Rotten Tomatoes: An Egyptian prince learns of his identity as a Hebrew and, later his destiny to become the chosen deliverer of his people. Personal Rating: 8.5/10. One of my childhood favorites, this film is amazing visually.

Traffic (2000)

92% on Rotten Tomatoes: A conservative judge is appointed by the President to spearhead America’s escalating war against drugs, only to discover that his teenage daughter is an addict. Personal Rating: 9/10.

Tucker & Dale vs Evil (2010)

84% on Rotten Tomatoes: Tucker & Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are attacked by a group of preppy college kids. Personal Rating: 8/10. Funny and exciting! This movie reminds me of other films such as Zombie Land and Shaun of the Dead.

The Emperor’s New Groove (2000)

85% on Rotten Tomatoes: Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne with the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder. Personal Rating: 10/10. One of my favorite films and one of the funniest films I have seen to date.

Big Fish (2003)

77% on Rotten Tomatoes: A son tries to learn more about his dying father by reliving stories and myths he told about his life. Personal Rating: 7/10.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)

92% on Rotten Tomatoes: The cyborg who once tried to kill Sarah Connor is dead, and another T-101 must now protect her teenage son, John Connor, from an even more powerful and advanced Terminator, the T-1000. Personal Rating: 9/10. Everyone knows of the Terminator. This is practically the role that made Arnold Schwarzenegger a film icon.

Antz (1998)

95% on Rotten Tomatoes: A rather neurotic ant tries to break from his totalitarian society while trying to win the affection of the princess he loves. Personal Rating: 10/10. Brilliantly written, this film stands out as one of the greatest animated films of all time in my opinion.

Serpico (1973)

90% on Rotten Tomatoes: The true story about an honest New York cop who blew the whistle on rampant corruption in the force only to have his comrades turn against him. Personal Rating: 9/10. One of Al Pacino’s trademark roles in my opinion. Watch it.. watch it now!
