Good Business Commission valued at over $500M, receives another round of funding

Good Business Commission (GBC) is a growing portal that caters to small businesses. It is somewhat of a mash up of Yelp, Google Listings and the BBB. It provides listing, accreditation and advertising services to businesses.

The website counts more than 25,000 businesses among its customers. It’s recently received a fresh round of funding from 17Palms Capital and is currently valued at over $500M.

The organization grew out of, a website founded in 2004 that provided accreditation and website scanning services.

The market for small business advertising continues to grow. It’s currently dominated by such heavyweights as Facebook, Google and Yelp, however, newcomers such as GBC are siphoning off a chunk of ad revenue from the big players.
